Julie Cooper BA (Hons) Fine Art, University of Hertfordshire
Julie's work is initially informed by her preoccupations: concerns about various global crises, environmental anxieties, recently discovered poetry or literature, music playing in the studio, or inspiration from her garden.
She works predominantly with oil paint on canvas, usually creating many layers that can be scraped back, drawn into with charcoal or graphite, or drawn onto with oil sticks. Sometimes elements of collage are incorporated.
